|
|
I searched the forums but couldnt quite find an answer to my question. Once my whole song is composed is there an easy way to export the midi from the entire song in a contiguous file?
I know I can right click in the part editor and export the midi for each part of my song, but that can be a bit daunting and I would rather just have one midi file vs a file for each section of the song. Is there a better way? |

Does it work to hold CTRL and drag the song label in the song sheet?
Saw that from Ralph in response to a different query. |

| When you say song label where exactly do you mean? Like the tab near the top of the plugin? |

| Got it. Thanks! How do you make the [] display the name of the song you are actually working on? I appreciate the help! |

Save the song with a name.

Alternatively, couldn't you just route the Midi output of Jamstix to a Midi track in your DAW and record it there?

| I dont even have that little space where the song name goes anymore, much less the open brackets. I've tried saving the song. There is nothing there since I upgraded. I'm using Studio One V2 |

You can also use the 'Export MIDI' option in the song menu to get a MID file of the whole song. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Great thread, thanks!
I see there is a separate MIDI track that also got exported, "Sysex Data", which contains just an empty MIDI part ... what do I need to do with that, or rather, is it OK just to delete it or did something go wrong (being that it is empty)? _________________ Alexis
