|
|
I'm with Cubase 5 64bit, a Creative EMU 1820 soundcard with patchmix,
I plug Jamstix 3.5.8 to vst instruments and input midi output to Battery 4...
Everything is fine until I increase buffer size from 5ms to anything above e.g. 20 or 50ms.
Yes I have tried to change the timing of the song/part... and I think its not the problem.
When I look at the midi as I record and change the timing in Jamstix it has proper notes when in the centre (out of sync however) and when I move the slider the notes do not shift accordingly... most seem to become longer notes and from what I hear I cannot get the rhythm to sync as it should, some notes are in time, some not.
I need to operate Jamstix at a higher latency than 5ms... it should be alright at 50ms I think from what I have read on other posts?
please help
thank you

When you have it at 50ms, let it play for a bit then close the host and email me Documents\jamstix3\rzdlog.txt. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

IIRC, Cubase has MIDI timing issues on VSTi output at higher latencies. I'm afraid there is nothing we can do about it. If you have a minute, try the same setup in REAPER and see if it also happens there. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

not inclined to install Reaper right now...

Thank you... shall continue with the vst as it's very good
