I am working with some weirdness where I am inserting 8 measures of 5/4 time signature in a 4/4 project....

Basically intro of 8 bars in 5/4...16 bars of 4/4....8 bars of 5/4 etc...

I am noticing that when things switch from 5/4 to 4/4 the first 4/4 measure skips over beat 2 and then ends up 1 beat off until 5/4 comes back in. Other times the first 4/4 mesure seems to start on 3, not on 1.

I have just used the metronome in Sonar and it seems to be alright (I hear the accented beat always on 1) I also pulled some 5/4 midi loops and 4/4 midi loops in the project and the 4/4 measures have the hits on 1 and 3.

Am I missing something ?

First, make sure "allow time signature changes" is checked in the Jamstix options.
Second, make sure that, in your host, there are time signature changes that exactly match those in Jamstix. They must be the same signatures and in exactly the same places.
