Quick question about ghost notes - how are they implemented? Meaning is it just a soft center hit, or some other articulation? Kind of looks to me like it's a bounce, but I can't be sure.

What I'm running into is this - I've got a song with snare ghosts in the verses. When I use the Jamstix kit, I hear something, but when I route all the audio to BFD Eco, they disappear. If the bounce articulation in Jamstix is being used for this, it looks that is currently mapped to the Drag articulation in BFD. I tried making the velocity behavior for it be Expanded, but that didn't seem to do the trick. Any ideas?

A peripheral question - If I activate the Bias control for ghosts and set it all the way to the right, shouldn't ghost notes only show up at the end of the measure?

In the bar editor, if you put your mouse over the note, it will give you a lot of information about it. Which articulation is used and even when brain element generated the hit.
As to your peripheral question, I believe you are correct, but there may be other factors at play.

Nice tip about mousing over the note. That definitely shed some light on the mystery. I actually solved my own problem by turning up the power on the ghost notes.

I'm still a bit confused about how to make bias do what I want it to do. basically I want ghosts only in beats 3 and 4 of every measure. I've selected "Around Kick" and turned the bias all the way to the right, but I still often get ghosts in beats 1 and 2. What are some of the other factors that might cause this?

Try removing the snare bounce articulation from the JS kit when using BFD Eco so all ghosts are executed as light snare hits.

Most ghosting brain elements don't filter trough BIAS, which is something we need to fix. In the meantime, try importing the 'Ghost Snare' element from the 'Skip Funk' style (using 'Extract From Other Style'), which does filter through BIAS.

Ghost Snare did the trick! It a simpler control, but somehow it gave me just what I was looking for! Thanks again.
