Hi Everyone,

I have Jamstix 3.5.0 64-Bit. I am using Reaper v4.4.02/x64 on a Win 7 64-Bit machine w 8G.

I created a Song in JS using the JS Std Dry - Deep kit. I like the parts but want to hear how it sound using SSD4 ver 1.097 VST-64bit.

I am only hearing the SSD4 samples as expected but my mappings are off. For ex, I am hearing open HHs when they should be closed. I also hear parts in the JS kit that are not heard in the SSD4 kit.

I set JS to MIDI Only in the Mixer and loaded SSD Sampler right after JS3 in the same Reaper track. I changed the JS Kit to Steven Slate Drums> SSD4 Default. I tried other SSD4 kits as well in JS. Same issue. The SSD4 kit I am trying is the Deluxe Country> Slate Country 04.

I saved the Song as a MIDI after playing the Session all the way through and then dragged the MIDI to a new track with just SSD4. I could figure out what is what and manually drag the MIDI events but would rather not do that if possible. When I play this track, I get the same thing where notes are not mapped correctly (expected this to be the case.)

Sometime last year I downloaded the mapping files that were in the library at the time and unzipped them to:

C:\jamstix3\data\kits\Steven Slate Drums

I see the .j2k files there and see them in Jamstix under Steven Slate Drums.

I went through this thread a few times and cannot see what I am doing wrong:

http://rayzoon2.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5976&highlight=ssd4

From the thread at tone time there needed to be some additional mappings for proper cymbal choking but that appears to be no longer needed.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help
Brian

I don't use SSD but did you load the key map file for SSD? Kit>dropdown menu>Load Key Map.

Found the issue.

At some point I had loaded a conversion in SSD4. I set it back to Default within SSD4 and now the kit pieces seem to be triggering correctly.
