Hi, hopefully someone can help... I'm a long time user of Jamstix 2 in Cubase SE. I recently upgraded to a core 4 system running windows 7 64 bit.

After the upgrade I used cubase SE and Jamstix 2 without problems.

Last weekend I took the plunge and upgraded to cubase 7...

I've moved Jamstix to the VSTPlugins folder and also tried setting the path to JS2 in the plugin manager section of C7.

When I open a project (created in CubaseSE) all the wav files play and JS2 appears on an instrument track... but no sound and no way to go into JS to edit arrangement etc.

I know I must be missing something really obvious...

Could be a bridging problem.
Are you using 64 bit Cubase and 64 bit Jamstix?
