Drummer won't play snare- insist on side stick

I imported a groove I made with snare and kick. However, the drummer insists on playing the side stick, and only occasionally hits the snare (typically in a strange place). How do I make him play the snare?

There is a brain element that, when the power is below a setpoint, causes the drummer to use sidestick instead of snare. It is called "Auto Snare". Anyway, adjust the level at which the drummer should use sidestick, or disable the element altogether with the "Active" button. Remember, you will have to adjust that setting in each part.

It also sounds as if the song power knob was really low.
