|
|
In mixer Output routing, why no check-marks to show selected?
More importantly, When in 4 channel - kick, snare/tom, cymbal, ambience, why isn't the ambience controlled by channel 4? I know it can be controlled by the amb. knob, but I thought because it was listed as channel 4 it would come through on 4. What is ch. 4 for with the k,s/t,c,amb. output?
Also output routing 7 with ambience as last in list. Like 4 channel, ambience isn't on channel seven.
What am I not understanding?
Thanks in advance.

Because they are just templates that do not cover all the scecarios you can create yourself using kit editor and mixer directly. They are just shortcuts, so to speak.

'Ambience' in the output template names always means ambience is routed to output #8 (AMB TO LAST). _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thanks. I didn't know "last" always meant 8. I thought that if I built 4 channels in Reaper, 4 would be "last."
I guess I'm still confused as to why channels 4 and 7 are named ambience in the two templates, but I'm sure it won't be the last time I'll be confused. Thanks again, Ralph. Wonderful software!
pps. So I can create my own templates and have them in the output list?!
