hi , have just installed latest update (1.32) and am running thru Home Studio 2004 (cakewalk) ...when i start playing the keyboard the CPU usage starts climbing, and actually got to about 71%?? really odd..my system is XP on intel p4 2.6g with 1 gig ram..has anyone experienced this? and if so is it something dangerous, or should i juts ignore it..
thanks

What jam mode is this in? Does Jamstix play normally for you? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

hi zauni, thanks for the reply...
its at the initial launch of the program(within Home Studio ..HS..)..after its loaded i then start playing on the keyboard and the CPU in HS then starts jumping up to the numbers i said before, there is no "jam" happening, only the midi in from the keyboard, on one channel, single voice...if i shut down Jamstix, the cpu goes back to zero and stays there in the same test...its not like the CPU meter goes up and stays up...it seems to rise the longer i play the keyboard, and introduce more notes, eg add the sustain pedal on a few chords etc..i would expct a small rise , mebbe to 5%, but not over 70%....soooo! obviously i am doing something wrong, or have it setup wrong, or soemthing....but i cannot see it yet!!! i am sure i followed the setup instructions, but perhaps there was something i missed...i am back at the PC now so i might go back thru the manual and see if i cna find something, although i must say i already did that...but i am a little more "peaceful" now , so i might have better luck..
thanks

Dennis, are you using DirectiXer or the CW VST wrapper? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

using the directixer, that came with Jamstix..i have since gone back in an restarted everything, and the cpu now only goes to about 12-14% in the CWHS meter...so it must have been a temporary ram/cpu threading problem..hmmm odd, but it seems to be okay now...so on we go.
thanks again zauni
cheers
