Ralph,
I have discovered a strange problem with saving a kit. I actually have seen then on at least one other kit as well. I sent you the kit the exhibits the problem. Here is how to reproduce (if it behaves the same way at your end). Wonder if anyone else can confirm this.
Load a kit with some cymbals. (I used Boom in the Rock folder)
Unlock the kit, move the cymbal to another location and save the kit (locked or unlocked does not seem to matter here).
Reload the kit.
Cymbal returns to the upper left corner.
Now.....
Add any piece to the kit (doesn't seem to matter here).
Jamstix automatically rearranges that new piece and the misplaced cymbal.
Now save the kit and reload......Success!
I believe it is a problem with Jamstix writing the position of the cymbal to the kit file because I was able to open the kit file with a text editor and change to position of the element (px and py) to something other than 0,0 (like 100,100), save the file and it loaded properly.
I am using Cubase 6.5.4 64 bit (and 64 bit Jamstix 3.5.1 beta 8 ) on Windows 7.
Of course, currently, the workaround is to add a kit piece (which you can then remove, as it just seems to be the action of Jamstix automatically placing the kit pieces that cures the problem) and then save. Of course, the drawback is that you can't REALLY put the cymbals where you want them.
Sincerely,
J.L. _________________ Core i7 4712QM, 16GB, Cubase 9 Pro on Windows 10. Scarlett 2i2. M-Audio Axiom Pro 61. Komplete 8. Jamstix 3.6. Absolute 3 VST. 418 Carrier Landings.
