Do we already have this? I am at school right now and not totally sure, but it just popped into my head so I figured I would see.

I basically want to split a part into pieces, so I can change what happens in different pieces of the part.

For instance,

if I have a part (named "verse") which is 16 bars long - with 2 repetitions (so 32 bars)

It would be neat to just right click it and "split" into 4 parts:
Verse a
Verse b
Verse c
Verse d

Which would contain all the same information as the original set, but be split up. Then each would be 8 bars long, no repetitions.

It seems there are a bit too many clicks involved when you just want to vary a part up a bit.

Workflow suggestions welcome as well!

You could also use the 'Extract Part' function from the bar menu. It's not ideal and we're working on split/combine parts functions for JS4.
