Hi Ralph
Basically I'm suggesting a feature in the song wizard that exports a tempo map (separate midi file) with the song midi export and gives a representation of a true drum performance. The push and pull of the performance could be determined by the type of part whether verse/chorus,breakdowns, etc.
Maybe some kind of curve could be highlighted in the bar timeline giving a representation of the flux in tempo. You could even expand on this by offering a selection of possible tempo variation in some sort of categorized menu. These variations could be limited to each part and not every single bar
I know some DAWS (like Cubase) allow us to copy/mimic the tempo variations of preferred audio recordings but I'm thinking of something less random than real song recordings but still giving the impression of that live human feeling.
I think a feature like this could really improve the final song file produced by the song wizard.
It's just a thought.

Thanks! Jamstix defines 'feel' as timing variations within the context of a steady tempo. Just like studio drummers who play with a click track but give the performance feel through push/pull of specific notes. You can control this in the feel section of the brain. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
