Hi tmon,
I just noticed our very own sticky, wow! I had some issues with js and mts in the beginning and got them sorted out with Ralph's and Giel's help. It didn't help me much because I didn't have the time to get my brain round js so as it to be much use to me. I just hope that version 2 will be easier to use. I get far too much activity for my liking. Mind you I tend to do things backward, like lay down a song without defining the timing, and then trying to sort it out usng js. Not the best way of doing things I guess Embarassed If you're interested in the mts issues I had, just search for my posts.

Thanks, sinbad. I'm a Jamstix noob and am only now starting to play around with it. I'll look for your other posts.

I've got Jamstix2 installed. When I try to get Jamstix to jam with a MIDI bass track, it seems like it's "off" by at least three 16th notes. Maybe this is the same tendency to "do things backward."

What's the key to "dialing" it in? Do I have to give Jamstix a click track? Does this have something to do with the latency of my MIDI setup? I also am having trouble controlling the "over activity."

Man, I feel really dangerous as bad music is just a click away. A drummer with no skills, but all the weapons. I have to make sure I've got headphones on!

Version 2.0.12 running stable on my system, even with only 512 MB RAM.
Ralph, hats off to you and the gang for all the work you've been putting in, we're up and running at last. Now I'll have to see if the drumming is any good Wink

Looks like Jamstix 2.0.13 HotFix pretty well covers everything with MultitrackStudio Pro plus. Its running very smooth here. Very Happy
Thanks Ralph for all your hard work.

I have MTS 4.31 and JS version 2.14, and when ever I open up an old song with JS1 in it, I can not replace it with JS2, the minute i try it cloes down MTS. I can add JS 2 into a new song with no issues. but never replace. Also when i open an old song that has JS1 in it the splash screen that opens and asks for the drum map setup flashes and goes away instantly. I was thinking of removing JS1 completely, but can i then still use the JS one patches or does the program have to stay as well?

JS2 data and JS1 data are not compatible, they are two different plugins. However, you can save grooves in JS1 and use them in JS2.

I recommend you keep back up copies of your project(s), load it and save rhythms if desired, then remove JS1 and save the project. Reload and then add JS2.

Release Candidate 1 for JAMSTIX 2.2 has just been released. Lets give this a try and see if any of us get errors so we can send reports before the actual 2.2 is released.

I find that if you're patient and don't rush js2 it works pretty smoothly with MTS. I do get the odd crash but its getting better as the fixes are uptaded..

As far as for sending error reports, the few crashes that I've had well they where good ones where I had to reboot and there was no evidence of what had happen.
I use the audioM8 plugin 99.9% of the time, also use the jam modes with audio.

Most crashes occur while toggling between groove, accent and fills.

I've had 3 crashes where I had the output window open and I was trying to setup the effects for each drum peace with multiple outs. I now use a work arround which is better for adding effects. "record each peace to their own track in mts and apply effects in mts mixer instead".

We are also communicating with the MTS team to nail down the problems.

Hello Ralph,
I have 8 outputs setup in jamstix then I place an effect ex: compressor in an effect slot say in output #1. I use to be able Ctrl+Click and drag to copy effect to another output effect slot without any problem but since beta 5 its a bit glitchy. Now Ctrl+Click opens the effect window 90% of the time won't let me drag and copy to another effect slot.

Oh and its causing the same behavior in MTS's main window. When I remove JS everything fine again.
Thanks
