... after everything has been all tweaked to perfection?

So far my workflow has been to have a player lay down a track, then hand edit as desired, including subtle velocity and timing changes.

After I've done that, I find that of course the combination of drummer/style will then go and "untweak" my changes for the sake of realism. They won't add or delete whole drum hits of course, but they will change how loud a given hit will be from one playback to another, and I'm not quite sure if they also change the timing as well.

I love that the original tracks are drummed with this variability, but after a point, I'd like it to stop changing! Very Happy

Is the best thing to do after tweaking ... to set drummer/style to silent so that what I have programmed for each hit is not altered? Or is there a better way?

Thanks much!

Locking the bar using the padlock at the far right of the editor will prevent AI changes.
Save the song too so you can recall it if neccesary. Use the drop down menu next to the 'wizard' button.

Thanks for that keys_reaper.

I still notice that what I've programmed isn't what is played, even when the bar is locked.

Thinking about it some more, maybe the AI made changes before I locked the bar. I'll redo things and check it out.

THanks -

P.S. I wonder if saving the song block the AI from changing it, even if the bars are unlocked when the song is reloaded? ... o maybe the bars need to be locked every time the song is opened ...
