Hi there,

I broke the bank and purchased a Roland TD11K (ugh, but it is awesome). I'm trying to get it grooving with some JS kits, and have a few questions.

I'm having some trouble getting all of the hi-hat articulations working. For example, with the HH pedal fully depressed, I still get a partially open HH sound. It does seem to be mapped to the correct MIDI note number (transmits HH closed on note 42, F#3, which is what JS is mapped to. And HH closed shank (edge in roland terminology) is on A#2 note 22. I recorded and examined the MIDI data in Reaper and CC4 does seem to be transmitting from the device. It's values range from 0 (full open) to about 90 (full closed). I guess i would have expected them to go up to 127 but maybe they aren't supposed to.

As a side note, for most of the articulations for different instruments in JS, when i select the articulation and then click the picture in the GUI, it plays that articulation. E.g. if I select the snare's side stick articulation and then click the snare, I hear a side stick sound. But for the high-hat, if I select closed, I hear a full or partially open HH sound when I click it, both for normal/tip closed and closed shank articulations.

Can you help? Do I have something faulty in the TD unit? Or is there a potential bug in this version of JS? Or is there some extra mapping work I still need to do?

Did you check the TD20 extensions box in JS?
