Can anybody tell me why it is that the fills i import, (Toontrack Rock Solid) have different velocities to what i have in the song...

...the imported fill are much harder...so the volume goes up??

Any way to change this??

Craig

Quick fix: on the fill, right-click in the bar editor, choose 'Select all' and then use the mouse wheel to turn down all notes at once as needed.

Thanks for such a quick response Ralph,!!

I tried it, but it seems "sticky" though, meaning , the mouse wheel sometimes changes the vel other times not...i have to keep rolling it until i get a response...anyway.

another question Smile, how do i import a groove, (ie...a chorus, verse part..from midi in toontrack) in to a song i already have...ie IVCVCBVC etc??...i don't want to start from scratch again, just import 1 bar and extrapolate it

Craig

Not sure I understand completely but you can use Brain Menu->Add->Groove Importer to add a MIDI groove into an existing part.

You should see a brain element called 'Groove' where you can import your MIDI clip.

Ralph...I am using Toontracks EZDrummer (rock solid) midi out with Jamstix...when i import fills, grooves (groove monkey) i am getting crashes in Reaper...well Jamstix freezes, then Reaper crashes....how would i be able to find out whats causing this...must be honest, i am finding 3.5 64bit rather jittery.

Hey Ralph..

i notice that the error occurs even when i click on the drop down menu on the Bar menu...

1. How many “Jamstix 3” folders should I have on my pc? Should there be one in “jamstix 3.5” on the C:\ drive? Cause that’s what I have…

2. I have Groove Monkey midi files stored under “C:\jamstix3” should that be? This was where Groove Monkey extracted them to, is that right? If not where should they be stored because...When I import a fill from that location into Jamstix, shut down Reaper and restart Jamstix, that fill is blank again…
