Hi Folks,
After a hellish install experience, I finally got Superior Custom & Vintage loaded on my machine.

However, no matter what I do I cannot seem to get the latest beta of Jamstix to load and play Superior C&V. In fact, when I do it seems to lead to instability on my system, and often a reboot.

I have plenty of juice in my system (P4 2.2 and 2 GIGS RAM), and I have no problem loading DKFH 2 or BFD lite. Also, it seems to work fine in Cubase without using Jamstix (though it does puke in Chainer and MiniHost)

I've tried loading a kit, then loading one of the mappings that Ralph kindly made available for downloading. Nothing.

Can anyone ehlp me with this? I am very curious to hear the result of the marriage between Jamstix and C&V! Smile

Thanks!
Dan

No problems with C&V and JS here with 1.5GB RAM. Also, the fact that C&V pukes in MiniHost and Chainer is unsettling and points to a fundamental C&V install or config issue that likely also affects Jamstix.

Unfortunately I don't know where to point you but I'd recommend contacting toontrack support to get the Chainer/MiniHost issue fixed which will likely fix the JS problem as well.

Follow-up: got it working (sort of)

The only problem now is that the individual voices are all panned hard left or right. If I try to pan top the opposite side, there is silence.

Most odd.

The work around I've used is dropping in Voxformer to collapse them to mono. This may well be pilot erro on my part, though. Frankly, I find the C&V interface a bit confusing. Embarassed

That said, the sounds are terrific! Even so, I think the BFD paradigm is vastly superior (they got it totally perfect, IMO), so my next drum upgrade will be BFD and not Superior.

Please add the line 'StereoOutputs=0' to the [General] section of your jamstix.ini file and restart Jamstix. This will force all Jamstix outputs to mono.
