Having lots of noise when simply playing a Jamstix 3.5 song in Reaper 4.3.1. Noise happens right at attack of a given piece of kit. I've turned down the mixer to better control clipping that may have been happening, but still getting lots of noises. Messing with lots of different kits, drummers, etc. to only have the noises stick around. GUI open or closed, no difference. No other tracks recorded in Reaper.

Please, advise.

I think I may have resolved the problem while researching another problem. The outstanding question at this point is, could the noises be an indication of poor latency?

I switched around some things in the ASIO4ALL config due to my brand of soundcard and the noises seem to have gone away. I'll keep this updated as I continue to mess around with JS3.

Thanks.

Higher latency usually fixes this. Another thing you can try is switching off 'Load-On-Demand' in JS3 Options.
