|
|
I would like to see if I understand something correctly and propose a feature if I do...
Say you have the power knob at 100 and allow Jamstix to compose a song, part, etc.
It seems MOST of the hits have a power level of 100.
Then change the power knob to a lower level and replay the song or part.
I can tell that Jamstix is, in fact, playing the part at the new, lower power setting. It does NOT however appear to "re-compose" the hits at the new power setting. Is it safe to say that the wriiten power (velocity) of the hits are really not important (except perhaps in exporting MIDI). Does Jamstix just use the written velocity as a starting point and then adjusts for the power level knob?
Question: Is there a way to have Jamstix re-write the velocities based on the new power level knob setting without distrubing the hits? I know about hittng "compose" but then the brain will change the accents, fills, etc.
If there is no way, perhaps it would be a useful feature, "recompose velocities based on new power level setting..."
Sincerely,
J.L. _________________ Core i7 4712QM, 16GB, Cubase 9 Pro on Windows 10. Scarlett 2i2. M-Audio Axiom Pro 61. Komplete 8. Jamstix 3.6. Absolute 3 VST. 418 Carrier Landings.

You are correct. Jamstix interprets the written velocity using the song power setting.
There is no 'rewrite all velocities without recomposing' function. I'll think about how/if this could be done. However, is the song power knob not a better way to do this? Why do you need to have the composed velocities adjusted directly? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Will the MIDI export and real time MIDI out velocities be based on the power level? If so, then I admit there is no real reason (other the aesthetics) to have to re-write the velocities.

Yes, export and MIDI out will be adjusted. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
