Is anyone else having problems with installing the updates within (windows 2000). I have recently installed these to run the new drumpak 1 but I keep getting errors when updating to 1.32 during the installation process.
Now when I load jamstix abelton live 5 crashes?
I installed the updates onto my work machine which runs on XP. It appears to work fine?

Any thought?

What errors are you getting from the 1.32 updater?

I'm not at my music computer at the moment but basically during at the end of running the update a box comes up saying that errors occurred during the installation process. Initially I rebooted my machine and found that the update had appeared to be successful & I loaded Drum Pak #1 all seemed to be fine but I found first that jamstix was not connecting to any of its internal drum kits. I then tried connecting jamstix to an external vst drum source which produced sound.
In an attempt to try and resolve the problem I deleted Jamstix completely from my machine & then reloaded from scratch to see if some bad directory paths had been created along the way.
I still got the error messages when I got to the update stage & now LIVE 5 crashes when jamstix is activated?

Chris, did you use the same file on your XP and 2k machine or were they downloaded separately?

I can't remember but what I'll do now is download the update again, try it & see what happens.

I appear to have lost my link for the latest update to 1.32.
Is there a problem with updating straight from the setup program to this update. Do I also require the updates inbetween or does it fill in the gaps?

You can update straight from your original install to 1.32 with this updater.

I've downloaded update 1.32 again and loaded it again at the end of the update a box comes up (windows type not jamstix) which said errors "occurred during update, program may not operate properly", or something along those lines. This time it appears that jamstix is operating properly & the jamstix interface has updated to 1.32.
I'll test it as much as possible & if I get any errors I'll keep in contact for your reference. Further to this I was updating from version 1.2 for your records.

Thanks very much for the prompt correspondence. Jamstix is a great product. Like all the other users out there we are all looking forward to Jambace. If it’s half as good as jamstix it will be a hit.
Keep up the good work.

Did you close all your sequencer(s) before running ther updater? There may have been open handles to some of the files the updater was trying to overwrite. Does Jamstix now say 1.32 in the about box?
