Hi Jamstix crew.
We are working on a project and found your software as the best solution for our new demo, because we couldnt hire a drummer in our location.
Ok.
so the point is we have already made the drums on grid
in Reaper, with SD as our sampler,
the drums sounds fine but of course static.
what we need is to get it in Jamstix, without Jamstix composing or changing anything, just adds a little timing variation and feel to the piece.
(we are making the fills seperatly)
What is the best way to do this step by step ?
we got the demo by the way.
Thanks. |

Seems like an overly complicated way to get what you want. Wouldn't adding a bit of groove with your DAW do it? |

Hi thanks for answer.
What do you mean by adding groove in the DAW ?
we find it very frusturating because the drums are static and need bounce and swing, how do you do it ? |

In Ableton, my DAW of choice, there is a Groove Option - from the manual:
"The timing and feel of each clip in your Set can be modi ed through the use of grooves. Live's Library includes a large selection of grooves, which appear as .agr les in the Browser.
The easiest way to work with Library grooves is to drag and drop them from the Browser directly onto clips in your Set. This immediately applies the timing characteristics of the groove le to the clip. If you want to quickly try out a variety of grooves, you can enable the Hot-Swap button above a clip's Clip Groove chooser and then step through the grooves in
the Browser while the clip plays."
Your DAW should have something similar. |
