|
|
May be trying to run b4 walking. Trying to load some of my other 3rd party kit sounds. For several SSD4 loads I'm getting an error statement telling me I need at least 12 outputs...change in mixer, s/d JS and restart. Similarly, getting the 'need at least 16 outputs' w/Battery 3. What am I missing on how to do this? Only see 8 outputs in JS3 and no way to adjust?
Thanks in advance. Really excited about the potential of this product.

You adjust the number of output in the Options window.

Thanks. I must've overlooked that when I was searching. My bad. I appreciate the prompt assistance.
Once more thing...when I try to load just the SSD kits, I'm trying to use the Kontakt 5 dll's (tried all of them, regular, 8out and 16 out) but none of them 'took'. I loaded Kontakt 5 as a VST instrument and made sure the SSD files were still there and loading in Kontakt. Why is JS3 not seeing the Kontakt 5 dll (or should I be using some other dll)?
Making progress on my learning curve...just a few bumps along the way.

Hi,
Sorry, but I can't help you there since I don't use Kontakt. |

OK...I went to the SSD support folk and they told me the old legacy files in the original SSD (which are the ones I'm assuming are showing up in the top of the SSD 'pick list') are all contained in SSD4...and they asked me to contact JS (well, Ralph specifically, since you folk apparently know one another) to get 'pointed in the right direction.
So, maybe in your next update, is there a way to let those older kit files be seen by the SSD4 .dll? I'm just trying to increase my 'pick options' since the SSD4 kits are normally my 'kits of choice' and that option looks like it would double my SSD choices.
Thanks...

There should be SSD4 kits in the 'Steven Slate Drums' folder of your JS3.3, which load the SSD4 DLL and not Kontakt.
Please note that subhosting will be removed in the upcoming Jamstix 3.5 and replaced by MIDI driving, where you load SSD4 into the host and then route JS MIDI to it. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thanks...I won't sweat it, then...and I'll wait for JS3.5...it's not critical right now.
The proposed JS3.5 method sounds like the way EZplayer runs...I'm familiar with that.
Good luck...
