Hi
Im trying to figure out how I can "revise" a chorus in JS3. For example every time say the titel of the song in the chous I want snare /kick snare kick, instead of what is there. I tried manually dropping the drum pieces in, and it will 'red X" themm out and not even play them. What do I need to do make my edits permanant. The verse and prechorus are ok sounding. Its just the chorus that really isnt working with the rest of the song or what I have in mind for that "country rock" big chorus sound. Should I try another drummer from the list?
thanks |

Did you try loading '8th Rock' for that part? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Just go to the part in question and then use the style/drummer hyperlinks in the brain panel to load what you want.
Once the chorus is the way you want it to be, use 'Copy To All Similar Parts' in the part menu of the chorus to update any other chorus parts you may have. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Hi Ralph
Yes I did make changes to each of song structure parts with styles/drummers
however, that might be were the problem is. I cannot get the chorus to sound how I like. I am only able to rely on what the drummer is playing accroding to his style. What I am looking to do is dig in a bit deeper on th edit part in the Brain/Wizard. For example, add in the ride on the chorus, or instead fo the chorus staring with snare roll to toms, edit that and have it be "snare/kick, snare/kick. you know what I mean? I cannot find a "stock" drummer or their "stock" style to fit.
thanks for your help

I'd suggest '8th Rock' style for the chorus and set 'Power Hand' Min Power low so the ride kicks in. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
