Hi Ralph

I'm having difficulty getting the drums to sound or load in Jamstix. I'm in the process of updating my system to Win7 64bit. Steps taken so far:

System: Windows 7 64bit, 8Gb Ram, Quad Core
Drive C: - Sonar X1 64bit
Drive E: - Audio drive with E:\jamstix3 folder already installed, all drums/samples extracted
Re-installed Jamstix version 3.3.0 to Drive C, pointing at E:\jamstix3

Software runs in Sonar X1, but cannot hear sounds when clicking on kit pieces. (Have already ensured Midi Only and Downmix are unchecked in Mixer section)

Tried loading kits - kit names seem to load, but no sounds
Tried installing kits - starts process but stops with Error report:
"Installation Error: Cannot create file
E:jamstix3\data\sounds\Drumsticks - JS3_a09.rzd

Considering deleting/uninstalling everything and reinstalling from scratch. Advisable?

Any help, much appreciated.

Please run SONAR via right-click->Run As Admin and then try installing the Paks.

Thanks Ralph

That seems to have done the trick.

Will the 'Run as Administrator' always be a requirement to ensure Jamstix runs? Or will the new 64bit version not require it?

Thanks again.

You can avoid the run as admin by giving full access to your user account to the jamstix3 folder.
