Hi - Pretty noob question here, sorry:

When I have a song constructed, style and drummer, etc, and am playing through my song, I notice that on the 2nd time through the song JS3 will "write over" the previous played bits in the bar editor.

Is there a sort of global "safety lock" command that lets JS3 compose a part on the 1st playback of the song, then not overwrite itself on subsequent playbacks? Right now I'm actually stopping and locking individual bars after the 1st pass, which I'm sure is a quite silly thing to do. Laughing

I don't want to lock it in cement or freeze it, as on the 2nd or 3rd pass I'm still making changes to the JS3 parts. But just have it so that any changes after it composed its part can be easily made by me, not by Carter or Charlie, etc.!

Thanks much!

If the bar is composed, the AI will not recompose. Are you changing brain elements? That would trigger a part recompose.
