Hi Ralph! Just got the AIpak with new drummer Peter (maybe Erskine). I love this drummer.
I had stopped using Jamstix after a few months because I found the learning curve too steep (except for the few times when I got lucky and got what I wanted out of it without intervening on the preset behaviour of the drummer).
I had gone back to static midi file based drum software (EZPlayer) but soon got frustrated when trying to build realistic sounding drum parts with those tools. So I came back to Jamstix with the firm intent of understanding it better. After a few weeks I've already discovered a few things that give much more control over the drummer(s) and even if I still have a lot to learn, I'm pretty sure I'll never go back to the other software I've used before. Now if I could do the same with Jamcussion that would be great.
I'm using the latest update 3.3 with Reaper 4.22 and here's what I'd like to see in upcoming updates:
1. Undo/Redo function like in most other software instead of the existing restore command
2. Keyboard shortcuts for commands especially for for the most common ones: Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete, Undo, Redo
3. More standard way of making multiple selections and applying commands on them again like most other PC software (using SHIFT and CTRL keys with mouse and dragging). The bar editor is close to that but not there yet and the part editor is not there at all.
Thanks again for a great piece of software. |
