Im really interested in Jamstix as the AI looks awesome but have some questions...

One thing I have found really difficult making drum tracks in the box is getting convincing hi hat parts - particularly as I like loose hat 16th note grooves...

At this point Im not sure if what I want to hear - smooth 16th note parts - is actually possible with sample packs...but I was thinking Jamstix (possibly teamed with Slate Drums 4) could pull it off...

Issue is - SSD4 and Jamstix is a decent bit of money to shell out - and have it not work...hence asking here...

With JS - is it possible for the AI utilise all the different HH variations in SSD4 eg tip levels, shank levels, oppenness etc? I guess because as far as I can understand Jamstix doesnt have quite the same level of detail in its collections as these bigger packs like SSD and Abbey road drums etc...so I wonder if the AI can make use of the full potential when its not provided for natively...?

Im looking for vintage dry disco style grooves

examples...

Jamstix supports full hihat control via controller and tip/shank variations.

hi thanks for the response. So can you confirm then that jamstix AI is capable of utilising the full depth of any other sample drum module?

I couldnt find any in depth discussion in the manual on mapping and creating templates for mapping...the available parameters etc...

I can't speak to any unusual hihat features of current or future 3rd party products but JS can utilize any hihat opening level via controller and trigger tip/shank notes separately.
