Hi,
Can anyone help me please? I am running Jamstix 3.2.0 in Reaper and I notice that I am not able to select a new style such as 8th rock or 16th rock or whatever.
It says:
Access violation at address 223A6F08 in module 'jamstix3.dll' . Write of address 00000004.
The rest of Jamstix seems to be okay, I just can't change styles.
Thanks,
Maurice. |

First thought is you are running an old version of Jamsticks and you didn't mention what version of Reaper. I tend to think all these versions make a big difference so I would be sure to get the newest JS. And Reaper changes versions every third day and twice on Sundays and has both 32 and 64bit versions, so be sure to tell us which one.
Here is where I locked things down several months ago:
"..Ralph, just an FYI I have been working all day with newest JS 3.3.0 and Reaper v4.14 x64 with no problems at all, what a joy"
By the way Reaper is currently beta V4.23 pre4 or fully release V4.22 and JS is 3.3.1 ?? (I think), Don't you love it
Or maybe samething simpler?? |

Mo_74,
I'm using JS 3.3.1 beta 2 & Reaper x86 & x64 v4.23 pre2 and changing styles works perfectly. I do remember having a problem similar to what you describe a while ago and though I don't remember which one did it, I'm sure the updates solved it. |

Please upgrade to version 3.3.0 and then the 3.3.1 Beta DLL. If the problem persists, run your host in admin mode. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thanks for your suggestion. I have run the lastest Jamstix update and beta dll, plus downloaded the latest Reaper version (running in admin mode) for Windows 32-bit, but the problem persists.
BUT: I have noticed however, it appears to be happening on only one track, which has a couple of more instruments on it than the other songs I have created.
Any more help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Mo. |

What other plugins are in the REAPER FX section of the track with Jamstix? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Hi there,
There are no other plug-ins on the Jamstix track. But I have other plug-ins in other tracks within the song.
Thanks,
Mo. |

Hi there,
I think I solved the problem. I reloaded the song in which had the problematic Jamstix track in Reaper, deleted the Jamstix track, saved the song and closed it.
Then I reopened Reaper (it automatically reopens last project) and in the song put in a new instance of Jamstix. This new instance worked fine.
I my explaination makes sense!
Thanks for your help,
Mo. |
