Is there an easy way to reflect the song structure of Jamstix in the DAW?

For now I can drag dummy MIDI files of the song parts to an empty MIDI track for orientation but if during composing something has to be changed the whole process has to be done again.

I wish there was a function in the VST interface allowing the host to send structure data to the plugin and vice versa but, alas, such a thing does not exist.

Yes; I know it’s not possible but may be there is a workaround in the form of dragging an (empty) MIDI files of all the parts of the song at once to the DAW as a guide for orientation.
If one makes changes to the song structure this MIDI file could be deleted and dragged again to the DAW instead of dragging each part separately. This would make things a bit easier.

BTW: Recently I tested Jamstix with Presonus StudioOne v2 – works fine so far.

Just an idea;

in Studio One v2 there is now a versatile macro functionality. These are xml files. If the song structure of Jamstix could be exported as xml data it may be possible to import it in Studio One as a macro that makes an appropriate marker track.
Of course, this would only work in one host and is not universal applicable.

You are aware that you can drag either the whole song or its parts to your DAW already?

Yes, but with the whole song the song parts have to be separated and a marker track has to be created. With individual song parts there are several steps to do too.
And if something changes during the composing process you'd have to do the same procedure again.
May be this could be simplified.
