First off...I love this program BTW!
1) after building a full drum track in Jamstix is it possible to export the midi files with the exact same feel etc and then place it into another program like Slate drums and use those drums? I tried the export midi but it didn't have the same feel as in Jamstix...it was dead sounding? Is this possbile?
2) If I have already built midi drums in a song and would like to have Jamstix and a drummer model replay that midi with the new feel etc...can I import an entire song length midi file and have it replayed and then re expot it back to use Slate drums again? I know I can sub host but I am having trouble getting another authorization from Slate to put the drums files on my PC from my two macs
3)Is there a way in Jamstix after I build an entire drum track to export all of the audio files for EACH drum separately? I figured out how to do it with all the toms on a file, cymbals on another...but then I can't do individual drum replacement...if I can do each drum individually my problem will be solved fro a while till I can get Slate on my PC...please help if you can???
Any chance you are going to release a "Lead Gutar" version of this software? That would freaking rule!
Thanks Sleezy_rox |

The exported MIDI is the same data. Can you send me the MID file for review?

You can spread the kit across multiple audio outputs and bounce in the host.

We have lots of ideas but it will take years to get there _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Man your support is awesome...Slate could learn from you guys for sure their support is terrible...
1) follow up ? about the midi export...maybe I am doing wrong...just use the regular "midi export" function...let me know I will try again if it doesn't work I will send midi file for review...
2) How do I spread each drum track audio individually in my host? where are the instructions for doing that?
Thanks again!

Just use one of the multi-output layouts from the kit menu and make sure your host is servicing all 8 audio outputs and that 'Downmix' in the JS3 mixer is OFF. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Ok I got the midi to work great with the same feel...now the problem I am having is that when I import midi files into the Slate drums from Jamstix sessions where I have the drummer playing a lot there are midi notes all over that aren't assigned to any sound in Slate kit...is there any way to map these over or do I have to write down what those notes are and then just move them in piano roll in Logic?
Thanks for all the help... |

You can adjust the MIDI mapping in Slate to match the notes or use the Slate key assignment in JS BEFORE you export the MIDI ('Load keys' switch in the kit dialog box). _________________ Ralph Zeuner
