So my card is ready and waiting...just 3 things...

So no play button huh xD is there anyway i can simply run the drum sound but not have to be actively recording? I have Mixcraft and Cubase 5...Im pretty partial to the ease of use of mixcraft but i know that its very limited so if cubase allows it to do this ill use cubase

For precussion, the demos have alot of world beats but i want it for acoustic style things...like shakers and congas for when i wanna play a soft acoustic thing...is there a thing for that?

lastly...i have some drum sounds i got a while back, obviously this program comes with a ton of sounds but is there a way to use my own sounds?

Im sorry if these are nooby questions but im ready to get it i just dun wanna run into the same problems ive had with digidrum pro or battery or the drum sequencer in cubase where i had a handful of sounds and had to buy expansion packs...Thanks again...

You don't have to be recording, but, you DO need to run Jamstix in a host.
Jamcussion is an expansion for the shakers, congas, etc.
Jamstix can subhost other drum VSTis like Battery, Addictive Drums, etc.

Jamstix is always synched to the host so just hit 'Play' in the host and JS will play along.

Jamcussion has all the sounds for that as well as dedicated styles.

You can load a sampler with your drum sounds into Jamstix.

Feel free to ask any other questions you may have.
