Hi all....noob.

first off let me say i am still learning Jamstix (2) so am not real fluent on it, just enough to get it to play stock stuff. I dont read music . that said....

1) are there User Patterns for Jamstix that people upload for others to try?

2) If, so, any CLASSIC Country-Western ones (ie Marty Robbins, Buck Owens, Tom Hall, Waylon, Cash.....Not the POP Country current style) ?

3) if Not , (i am not a drummer so i dont know the terms drummers use) any tips on what to change in J2 patterns that CLASSIC Country drummers did different that i can try (plz keep it in dummy speak for a dummy - me !)

...Specifically i am going for a tempo like Big River (Cash) or Big Iron (M Robbins)...is that Western Swing or Shuffle (i dont know terms) ?

Thanks all!

BZ

I believe that first one (great video, btw) is a simple two-step, at about 105 bpm. Not sure if JS2 has it as a preset...

k... thanks ! after talking w ProfRhino, i bought EZ Drummer to get its Nashville pack - it has a pattern called "2 Beat"...maybe thats similar (havent got it yet)

if any one uses EZ or Nashpack...i'd be interested in hearing yer tips on it.

im not a drummer, im just into OLD country recently after seeing Gram Theft Parsons and Easy Rider (Fraternity of Man, Byrds), then looking into who influenced them-its basically 1950-60's Grand Ole Opry folks. When i heard that, its just so Haunting and gets under yer skin . Not to mention, the Movie Crazyheart, it sums it up (alot stars in Country now, WISH they could do the Old time stuff, but have play the Pop stuff). Nowadays its easier to find GO Opry in Folk (Ray Lamontagnes latest- GWCDR)

Having to LEARN every instrument. been studying Clarence White flat pickin guitar, C-W Honky Tonk Piano, trying the Pedal Steel VSTi, Drums... Now on to how to Sing (that should be a trip!)
