|
|
Hi
I have Cubase Elements 6 and Jamstix 3.3. How to record a midi track while jamming?
It is a different thing than to export a midi file. How to prepare the track that will host the midi data? The notes exported meet the General MIDI protocol? What about the MIDI channel? In my opinion, in the manual this topic is not well treated. Can you help me explaining in detail how to do it in practice?
Thank you very much

Is this with 64-bit CE6? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

AFAIK, the Cubase bit wrapper cannot handle the MIDI output from Jamstix.
Best option is to export the MIDI to a file in Jamstix and then just drop it into a MIDI track in CE6. You can playback the data by setting the output of the MIDI track to 'Jamstix' and switching Jamstix into drum module mode (depress any pressed Jam button under the song power knob). This is covered under 'Drum Module Mode' in the manual.
Also, remember that you do NOT need to export MIDI unless you want to manually edit in the host. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
