I seem to have a penchant for songs that change meter — sticking a 3/4 bridge in a mostly 4/4 piece, for example — which makes it absolutely necessary to map out the Jamstix “parts” before I can get any idea how the drum line fits. Even in songs without meter changes, though, without fills in the right places, it’s hard to get a fix on the overall effect.

The problem this causes me is that once I’ve got everything in parts, then when I start my DAW playing and adjust the controls in Jamstix, as soon as the play point moves from one part to another, I’m no longer hearing what I’m adjusting.

I can deal with this by looping over just one part instead of playing the whole song, but is there any way to “adjust all parts that have similar controls” at the same time? (I know there is “Copy Style and Drummer to all similar parts”; but that doesn’t help while I’m playing and adjusting as I fish for the right sound.)

It's something to chew on. Btw, you could use 7/4 instead of the 3/4+4/4 mix.
