How would I map a different drum kit from Superior Drummer (or any drum sampler for that matter....), other than the kits already provided? Is it the text file that shows up when the drop down menu "Show keymap" is clicked????
I'd like to map all my kits to Jamstix, & I have lots of 'em. I'm pretty sure I could do this myself with a little help getting started.......
Anyone care to share how to do this with me, step by step, in terms a 5th grader could understand????
Thanks in advance!!!!! |

You can adjust the MIDI key for each kit piece in the JS kit editor. Some pieces (snare, toms etc.) have multiple articulations, so you use the 'Articulations' list box to assign the correct MIDI for each.
JS comes with several mappings for 'Superior' in its 'toontrack' kit folder so that would be a good starting point. When done, save the kit for future use. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Thanks Ralph, I've finally figured it out, I first thought it was like the drum maps in Reaper, which are text files (because I found the text file that shows the mapping in Jamstix.....)......thanks again for you help!!!!!! |
