Hi Ralph,
I've created a groove and set the timings of the notes so that they are 47ms ahead of the beat. I've also used the blue "locked" function above the bar editor to lock certain notes so that the brains automation cannot effect them. As a further precuation i've also set the pocket to 47ms in the brain. Even with all of these settings, once I turn groove to style, the following bars which are composed still have these notes being composed at 25ms ahead of the beat rather than a figure around 47ms. Just to rule out the timing vary controls, these are set to 0ms.
Also, as a seperate question i've been pondering- If I wanted to set the timings of some notes manually, but then wanted jamstix to add slight random timing/power changes I would normally use the feel controls to add my choice of ranges for this to happen. However, I am concious the pocket would also affect the timing variation range I have manually input. Is there any way to stop the pocket control affecting the notes, but for the other "feel" knobs to still work for me?
Any info appreciated, the programs top class by the way, it at last allowing me to makes huge progress with my songs |

Could you send me the JS3 song file that shows this issue?
Also, when you use the song or part timing function in the song sheet, the shift is not displayed in the timing values of notes. Instead it is additive so if the note says +10ms and the song is set to -47ms, the actual note play will occur at -37ms.
Manually setting the timing of a note overrides the pocket. Or in other words, the pocket is included in the note timing value. As before, song/part timings are in addition to whatever your manually set note timing is. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
