I've decided to try to use JS as a "drum machine" and manually insert the notes. I've been doing 1 measure at a time, copying and pasting and changing as necessary.
But how do I tweak these measures as the song getys bigger and more inruments are recorded? For a simple example, the verse might require a softer snare hit than the chorus. As the song develops of course velocities and levels need to be tweaked. It seems like a huge workload to go in and tweak each hit indivdually.
Would someone please help me to understand this?
Thanks!

Use your host automation to automate the song power knob in JS, it works great, i use it often when the song needs varing dynamic levels.
I would lock all the parts first though just in case JS wants to recompose parts on you.
Hmm... i think this will work with the parts locked, its worth a shot anyway, with any luck Ralph might confirm this for you / us
