I am trying to work on some old projects that use Jamstix 2. I've installed Jamstix and did the jamstix253RC1 update. I even installed good old Cakewalk Sonar 7, 32 bit, on my 64 bit system in order to get various plugins to work like they should.

All is fine except for 2 sounds that are missing in Jamstix... I installed all packs I have and the song uses the Big Kit. The sounds missing are:
China - 18"
Splash - 10"

The sport key the China should be, Bes 6, only gives a dry sidestick like click right now... My problem is that I actually used that cymbal in my song: it has a rather important role. The dry click doesn't cut it. Wink Part of the sounds are done using 'MIDI play in jam', so I can move the notes on the piano roll to another key, but I can't get it to sound the same as it did back then.

I tried adding the China - 18" to the kit, but there isn't a China - 18" at all...! And since the kit doesn't light up something when I click on Bes 6, I don't really know where to add it, even if I had it.

So my question (in short) is: any idea why that sound is missing and in which kit it should be...? I used to own Jamstix 1 too, but unfortunately I don't have it anymore on my hard disk (can't find it anywhere). Maybe that China - 18" was part of an older kit I lost now...?

Those sounds are from Jamstix 1. I have just re-enabled them on your download page.

Cool, thanks! Smile

EDIT
Hm, odd, I installed the kit and the sounds aren't missing, but I still here that tick instead of a crash... So I still have to manually change the note in the pianoroll or assign another note to it in the Jamstix interface... Really odd, because back then it worked flawlessly... It's as if something isn't saved well. Odd...

BTW I only installed the kit right into Jamstix 2: it shouldn't be necessary to install Jamstix 1 too, even if that one isn't used in the project...? Or does having Jamstix 1 installed have an influence on Jamstix 2...? (Can't install Jamstix 1, well, I can install it now, but as I said everything is gone, so even the serials, so I can't activate it.)

You don't have to install JS1. Can you send me the JS3 song file with the tick problem so I can look at it?
