|
|
Hi, I have just spent a while with a very weird problem. After getting Jamstix parts exactly as I want I always record the midi to Cubase and then switch JamStix to drum module mode so I can more easily rearrange parts. This normally works fine but with my latest project the recorded midi incorrectly switches sounds.
I have tracked it down to this: normally jamstix is playing HiHat Closed 14" JS3 (which is on note F#1). After recording the midi part way through it changes to HiHat 25pct 14'' JS3 which is note D5. To be clear - this note is actually recorded in Cubase. Why it switches I have no idea.
If I then switch Jamstix back to normal mode I still get the wrong sound for the hi hat and the only thing I can do is revert to a previous save of my project.
My setup:
Cubase 6.04 64 bit with Jamstix 6.02 via JBridge
Using Drums: Ginger Snaps (XL)
Song style: Breakbeat - loopy |

Quick work-around: put a CC4 controller event at the start of the JS MIDI track in Cubase with a value of 127. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thanks for the reply, but I could not get that to work. I added the controller as you said (Cubase calls it foot) but no difference. I even inserted a few in various places. I notice the recorded midi has a lot of CC4 messages itself. I have found a temporary work around though and that is to use Cubase's logical editor to transform all the erroneous D5s into F#1s
Another thing I noticed is that the switch in note does nto always seem to occur at the same point. |

| This is still a problem I am afraid. I cannot record down to midi without a sound being altered |

Once JS 3.5 is out, let me know if you still see this problem. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
