Hello,
I am trying to create a custom mapping for a Kontakt Brush Kit (Drum Taste Brush) and have problems with setting up the proper midi keys for the snare brush articualtions. While it works fine just after I set the midi keys, as soon as I save and reload the kit (or the project) the keys are reset to the original keys again (A0 for Brush muted, G0 for Brushing). All the other (at least snare) articulations work fine, that is, they keep the midi keys I told them to use. When I open the saved *.j2k-Kit-File in a text editor, the midi keys are correctly assigned, though. I tried this with an empty kit only containing only a snare drum with Jamstix3.12.
Am I doing something wrong or is this a little bug? Maybe the brush articulations arent correctly initialized when loading a kit?
Any help or information about whether I'm doing something wrong or whehter this is a bug would be greatly appreciated.
(I also found a small bug in the Kit edit view: When I open an arbitrary non-empty kit and click on "remove all", I get an "index-out-of-bounds"-exception. The result is that not all of the kitpieces are removed and Jamstix gets confused with the numbering of the kit-pieces after saving and loading ) |

Hi Ralph,
when I tried to create a (minimalistic) kit to send to you, I realized that I made a mistake during mapping;: I forgot to select a sound for the brushes in the field above the mapping settings ("<click here to load a sound>"), because all other articulations already were set to <subhost> and I thought that setting a sound would not matter, as I made this kit mapping for the "midi out only" mode of jamstix. Now loading and saving of the kit mapping works fine. Sorry for posting before thinking. :/
(The list index-ou-of-bounds-exception happens independently from the loaded kit in my version of jamstix (3.12),) |
