|
|
Hi,
If I reload a previously saved Ableton project the Jamstix track exists and works correctly, but the Jamstix GUI is missing. So I cannot edit any Jamstix related parameters.
If I drag the Jamstix VST module into the existing Jamstix track the GUI is loaded, but the Jamstix data are deleted.
Is this working as designed ?
Thanks

Yeah I get this a lot.I'm using XP which only allows 3gb,and Jamstix 3 usually says something along the lines as not enough memory to open GUI.If I reboot Live.load same project, it's mostly ok again.Go figure. _________________ EMU 1820M user |

One thing you could try if you can(fingers crossed) is open options, and uncheck cache GUI.Try opening a new project and doing that options thing, and then hopefully opening your project again.Good luck.It helped me.It's slower to open, but it opens.Ralph is great on support, but sometimes if there's no answer that'll help.......... _________________ EMU 1820M user |

Unchecking 'Cache GUI' should fix this. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Hi,
- Unchecking 'Cache GUI' doesn't change anything.
- I always run Ableton as admin
- I am running on Windows 7 (32-bit)
One thing came into my mind:
If it happens that after hours of work I close the GUI by accident (just by clicking on the x in the right upper corner - it should not, but it could happen) - there must be a way to open the GUI again without deleting your track data.
Anything I can do to help debugging this issue ?
Thanks

Problem Solved ........
I found an Ableton expert ......
If in Ableton the the focus lies on the Jamstix Track - regardless whether in session or in arrangment mode - you can see in the lower screen of Ableton a square, representing your VST module (in this case Jamstix). Right beneath this square you would see any sound effects. In the title of this square you can see a little very very tiny wrench. This wrench activates/deactivates the GUI of Jamstix (or any other VST module that is loaded in your track).
That's all. So it was an RTFM (read the fu++++ing manual (of your Host)) error of mine.
If someone needs a screenshot, please send me a PM.
Thank You Steve
Thank You Ralph
