This is probably really obvious and I'm going to feel like an idiot for asking, but is it possible to change the whole kit during the song, the same way one can change the drummer?
I have a regular dry rock kick for the verse and choruses, but I want an electronic kit for the middle 8.
Is this possible?
Cheers

No, kit changing during the song is not possible, unfortunately. A common solution is to bounce the finished track with each kit and then comp the resulting audio clips.

Ah,ok.Thanks for the quick reply.
I think I have another solution.I have some electronic drums from some other software,I could just copy the middle 8 section of my song to a midi track and use those drums,or even use Jamstix in drum module mode on another track.

Thinking outside the box and untested.Another way would be to run two tracks with JS on them and use silent bars until you require the new kit sound and then silent bars on the original track from that point?

I have done exactly that (two Reaper tracks, both with JS3, one E-kit, one standard) for exactly the reason stated in the OP. It works fine.
