I've been reading the manual and playing with JS 3, and now I have information overload and I can't find the answer to what is probably very simple & obvious.

After playing with the settings in the brain and essentially destroying the part (hey, I'm a guitarist), how can I set it back to default so I can destroy it anew?

Also, can the power knob be automated to change for each part?

Again, I'm genuinely trying to find answers on my own but I've been absorbing so much that I've lost perspective and can't find these simple answers. Thanks!

Anyone?

Please help my poor, overloaded brain. Is there a way to experiment with the song settings and then reset it back without deleting the part and creating another?

You can reload style or player to reset to defaults. If they have presets (list boxes at top of brain panel) you can also reset by selecting 'Default' there.

The power knob can be automated via host VST automation.

Thanks, Ralph.

Would adding a "power" automation feature from within Jamstix be worth considering in future updates? I'm thinking it might be worthwhile for those who are not too savvy on their DAW's VST automation, and that it might improve workflow.

Just wondering... I've never done any VST automation from within my DAW (Sonar 8.5 Producer), but I'll be trying it with Jamstix.

You know, Ralph, as an aside, as I'm reading the manual and trying things out, it's very obvious that your software is in a class by itself. One can see the thought processes and the logic behind its design and it really is impressive. If such care were taken by most software publishers in every genre, this world would be a lot more fun and efficient. Not to mention your support.

I think your design and programming skills are vastly under-appreciated, though not by our own community here. I'll be spreading the word, that's for sure.

Thank you for your kind words!

We are debating adding power settings per part in JS but I'm very hesitant to do this. In the end, this is what host automation is for.
