|
|
I had a record I was working on that used Jamstix 2 playing BFD2 that I put aside last year to work on a couple of other records and since then I upgraded to Win7.
So now I am back working on the old record and every file I open, the drums are all out of whack: timings are all way off, everything sounds mechanical, nothing is as it was.
So I start fiddling around and on the first file I work on, I'm eventually able to play the drums correctly through Jamstix 2 without BFD2, export the midi out, reimport the midi and play that through BFD2 fine. Not ideal but it is a work around.
I'm also not able to save the J2D file and reimport into Jamstix 3.
The next file I work on, I can not get Jamstix 2 to open out of the Synth Rack (Sonar 8.3).
I am also able to go into an XP partition and hear Jamstix 2 just fine there as well.
So I'm thinking that either Jamstix 2 is not compatible with Win7 or is not compatible with Jamstix 3.
I've been looking around this forum this morning for similar problems and solutions. Has anyone seen this before?
Edit: Forgot to mention 32 bit |

Your log files shows a high latency setting (4096). Please reduce to 512 and see if your problems are gone. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Yep, that's it. I had kept increasing the latency to try to fix a dropout problem and never turned it back it down.
Thanks Ralph, all is well again. I'll reinstall Jamstix 3, I have not had a chance to really play with it since it came out, nor the new AI pack.
Take care! |
