Here's the same backing with the Guitar correctly wired and a new cheap £9.99 Humbucker off Ebay and a different Podfarm patch,

The wiring on the guitar is what I think is known as the,"Modern" wiring and it's not the best for these guitars.
I noticed that when the volume controls were off and when not on full hum was being induced especially with High-gain sounds.After quite a bit of searching I found the problem and fix,

Basically the Hot wire from the PUP and the Selector Switch wires need reversing on the Pot tags(Move capacitor wire as well if attached there).
This has now given the guitar better tone than in the video and control of the volumes of the PUPs and no noise when the pots are off or less than 100% as there's no noise masking the sound as you turn the Volume controls down.
Posting this for anyone having these problems. |
