I think I posted this in the wrong forum, so here I go again:
I'm trying out the Jamstix demo, and the only thing stopping me from buying it right now is that I still haven't figured out how to record the midi of each track seperately.
I'm using Reaper, and this is what I tried:
1. Loaded Jamstix as a VSTi, created a song and unchecked the "downmix" button.
2. arm each track and set their inputs to" midi -> all channels.
3. However when I record nothing shows up - they're just blank midi tracks.

What should I do to record the midi of each track (midi of kick on one track, snare on another track etc.)

As for recording audio, I figured out a way of doing it but I was wondering if it was the "best" or easiest way.
I armed all the tracks, and set them to record: output (multichannel, latency compensated).

Is there a better way of recording audio on each track?

Videos about Jamstix can be found on Youtube here.

There are also some nice videos for Reaper here. Especially the one named Addictive Drums in Reaper – Record Multichannel Audio which explains how to route a VSTi to multiple channels and is applicable to JS as well.
