Recording Jamstix with Sonar X1?

I get full sound output when playing back, but I don't understand how to get the output sound to record or display the midi. When I add an extra routing track it doesn't have a a record arm button, so that is not it.

AFAIK, Sonar doesn't allow you to record the audio from a VSTi. You can record MIDI by checking MIDI output in the Sonar insert plugin dialog when adding Jamstix and then adding a MIDI track with input=Jamstix.
