Ralph - I have two questions regarding drum velocities:

1 – when I compose a bar - the velocity levels of the snare and bass drums are all set at 100 in the bar editor. But when I drag and drop the bar to my host – they show the correct variation in velocities. Should the bar editor show the actual velocity levels?

2 – when I change the power on the hi-hats in the brain – it seems to work as expected. When I add the power options to the snare and bass drums and change the levels – they seem to have no effect.

Thanks,
John

1) The bar editor shows the intended velocity. However, the feel processing play filters of the brain will modify those values on playback and that is what you see in the MIDI export.

If you manually edit a power value in the bar editor, it will be properly reflected.

2) If you add the power control to a brain element, you must recompose for the changes to take effect.

Thanks Ralph.

1) This is what I thought might be the case - just wanted to confirm...

2) You are correct - it works as you described. I must have had the bar locked, or didn't compose, etc. Chaulk it up to operator error.

Thanks for all of your help.

John
