Tonight I was looping certain parts for my lyricist in Sonar 8.5 so he could write each part, and after the 3rd or fourth rep I started noticing the Hihats going off time. Everything else was fine, and the lyricist didn't seem to even notice, but it bugged the heck out of me. And by the time I had enough and froze the drum tracks, he was done.

But I have to wonder how and why it happened.

Hmm. What JS version? Sonar 32 or 64?
