Hi,
I'm experiencing the folowing problem and could not find any solution in any forum so far. If I might have overlooked it, my apologies.
I'm experiencing the folowing problem. I installed the latest JS3 version on my W7 64 bit labtop. Installation was a breeze even the packs. But when running JS3 it's like the drummer is as drunk as can be. However I think that technically speaking JS3 is synced to Ableton the bars progress. The first think I checked for were the timing sliders but they're perfectly in the middle so that should not be the cause.
So I felt obliged to install Jamstix2 again. That one syncs perfectly producing the perfect rhytm. When I load the same j2d file in js2 it works fine in js3 it goes crazy. In JS3 even the tempate songs go crazy.
In JS2 I have another problem however it works perfectly I get a warning that the packs are out of date or that a program should be run as an administrator.
If anybody has an idea I would appreciate together with all people experiencing the same problem.
Best regards,
Marc. |

Whatīs the latency of your system when you experience this?
If itīs high reducing might help.
I once had a similar problem with my Mac when I wasnīt bothering about audio latency (it was for testing purposes). |

Hello Ralph,
Thanks for your fast reply.
Hope you see something in the rzdlog.txt. It says the latency to be 0, so that should not be the cause. On the other hand if you want to I could send you 2 mp3 files, one with js2 and one with js3 to give you an idea of what happens. What might be the cause also is that I don't have the 'my documents' folder on C:\Documents and settings\username\my documents... I changed that location to be on D: since in my opinion documents should not be lost because of a reinstall of the OS disk. I relocated the folder to : D:\users\username\My Documents. If in JS3 you have any references to a hardcoded location it will fail on my labtop. Maybe in JS2 the registry is checked to fetch the 'My documents' location while in JS3 it is not the case. I also relocated the Application data folder. Maybe this gives a hint.
Best regards,
Marc.
PS.
If you need the mp3's I only can prepare them tonight.
Also thanks to Doc Moderator for his reply. |

Your latency is actually 4416 samples and you are using JS 3.0.0. Please update to Jamstix 3.0.2 and your problem should be gone. I also recommend setting the latency to 512 or less. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
